I received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Angelo State University. Michelle Kolb, 8th grade counselor
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year. I am so proud to be the 8th grade counselor at Salyards Middle School this year! I am a graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. I began my career in Cy-Fair at Truitt Middle School as the Counselors’ Secretary and Registrar while working on my teaching certification. I left Truitt to teach 2nd grade at Lowery Elementary for 9 years. After earning my Masters in Education and Counseling from Sam Houston State University, I moved to Moore Elementary and was the counselor for grades Pre-K through 5th for 4 ½ years before joining the awesome staff at Salyards in 2015. I have enjoyed every opportunity and experience that I have had working with the students in our school district. I am looking forward to an exciting year helping your children prepare for high school. My goal is to work in close collaboration with families, teachers and all staff members to ensure the academic, emotional and social successes for all students.
